August was a busy one for The Happy Africa Foundation (THAF), take a look to see what THAF Intern Stacey was up to this month!
- ·Quiz Night was extremely successful and raised R1931 for the Medical Projects. We had 8 teams of volunteers and locals fighting it out with 6 rounds to win wine and biltong.
- Mexican Night in the house for 23 volunteers. The team worked hard to put together a Mexican feast of homemade guacamole, salsa, nachos and fajitas while listening to Latino music and learning some salsa moves. This event raised around R1200 for the Medical Projects
- Lots of sales of the THAF Merchandise have seen us sell nearly R3000 of the lovely bracelets, postcards and magnets.
- Throughout our projects we had 3 new beautiful babies arrive and we were able to give out huge parcels of nappies, baby wipes, clothes, toys and baby essentials all generously donated by past volunteers along with some local donors

- Former volunteer Julianne Dee raised £775 from a garage sale that she held at home after leaving St Lucia. This has added a whooping R11,625 to Stage 3 of Inkanyezi Crèche.
- Peak Season has bought in hundreds of items of donations from crafts to medical items!!! We’ve add some very generous donations this month and would love to Thank everyone for their support.
- After 2 months of amazing fundraising using our online Virgin Money Page and offline events we have managed to raise around R67,000 for Stage 3 of Inkanyezi Crèche which we hope to start in the following months
